To Terri.

Do you remember when we were such close friends?
Remember when I would hurt and you know know
When I said something stupid and you still hung out with me?

Do you remember when I was so awkward?
Remember when all you had to do was call and I was there?
When we were neighbors, miles apart?

Do you remember the inspirtation we gave one another?
Remember the boys we stayed up talking about?
The fights we had that meant nothing?

Do you remember checking eachother’s sites, even when we already knew what was posted?
Remember long phone calls?
And even longer trips to the mall?

Do you remember when you got your first car?
Remember how I claimed the front seat as my own?
How your sisters and I fought for that seat until the car officially died?

Do you remember the secrets we told?
Remember all those boys that you kissed?
All the ones I  wish that I did?

Do you remember when we couldn’t spend enought time together, even if it was a whole week?
Remember how I used to visit you on your sick days, because I really couldn’t do a school day without you?
How I made you laugh, and how you returned the favor?

Do you remember being there for me when I was crushed?
When I thought I was worthless, useless, horrid?
When I needed a shoulder to cry on, and you were there?

I do.
I remember being your best friend.
The one you were closest to.
Who you shared your secrets with,
Who comforted your fears, and encouraged your dreams.

And you were the exact same for me.
Always.

But I don’t know where that went.
Over the span of a year I lost you.
I understand.
How could I not?
Because one little thing seperated us.
The thing that can seperate contries.
Oceans, rivers, and valleys.
And at the same time bring them closer together.

You fell…
in love.

I understand.

But that doesn’t stop me from missing you everyday.
Wishing we could go back to how we were.
knowing that we can’t.
Ever.

If you ever need a shoulder,
Mine’s tear proof.
And a listening ear,
Well I’ve got a set.

And if you ever need me I’ll be there.
Forever,
And always,

Your best friend.

To Terri Gamas, my best friend forever, even if it feels like I lost you.
I love you :)
